We are seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team in New Jersey.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, with a keen interest in contributing to our company's financial health and success.
The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and will have exposure to all aspects of the business.
Responsibilities:
1.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
2.
Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
3.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
4.
Assists in the preparations of sales and use tax5.
Conduct regular ledger procedures.
6.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
7.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
8.
Interface with managers and executives concerning questions and issues on key financial reports and projects.
9.
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2.

years of accounting experience.
3.
Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting.
4.
Proven skills in Account Reconciliation and Month End Close5.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including vlookups, pivot tables and sum-ifs6.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
9.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
